    FRIMA Equipment Capabilities

Our CNC turning department is equipped with both single-axis and multi-axis lathes. We are capable of producing quantities ranging from single parts to thousands of units per week. Our lathes can process large turned parts featuring threads, through-holes, and even cross-holes and side-milled features.

Our dual-spindle machines allow for simultaneous front and back-side machining, which in many cases eliminates the need for multiple separate operations.

    FAQs

QWhat is the Minimum Order Quantity (MOQ) for high precision CNC turned components?
AFor standard materials and common dimensions, the MOQ is very flexible. During the sampling stage, there is typically no minimum quantity requirement; for mass production, we recommend an order of 500 pieces or more to optimize costs, depending on material specifications and equipment efficiency.
QHow fine a shaft diameter can you machine?
AOur Swiss-type automatic lathes can reliably machine precision shafts with diameters of φ0.5mm and above, up to a length of 150mm. Even finer shaft diameters can be achieved through specialized processes; please feel free to contact us for specific inquiries.
QWhat surface finish can be achieved for high precision CNC turned components?
AStandard turning processes can achieve a surface roughness of Ra 1.6–3.2μm. If higher requirements are needed, we can incorporate a grinding process to achieve a finish of Ra 0.4–0.8μm.
QWhat post-processing services do you offer?
AWe provide a comprehensive, one-stop service that includes heat treatment (quenching, tempering), surface treatment (anodizing, zinc plating, nickel plating, blackening, passivation), polishing, laser marking, and more.
QWhat tolerances can FRIMA achieve in CNC turning?
AOur CNC turning processes can consistently achieve dimensional tolerances of ±0.005mm for standard parts. For high-precision applications, tighter tolerances can be discussed based on part geometry, material, and quantity requirements.
QWhat quality inspection methods are used for turned components?
AWe employ a rigorous quality control process including CMM (Coordinate Measuring Machine) inspection, optical comparators, surface roughness testers, and hardness testing. All components are inspected against customer-provided drawings and specifications before shipment.
